Andy Huntington Interaction & Sound
About
I work as a interaction design consultant specialising in software and hardware prototyping and development.
I obtained my MA in Interaction Design from the RCA in 2005. Prior to that I gained a BA in Commercial Music at the University of Westminster
in 2001, during the last 2 years of which I became increasingly interested in
interactive music technologies.
After graduating I worked as a sound designer for Romandson
completing a number of projects for web, CDROM and exhibition. In the 18 months
before going to the RCA I worked at Fabrica
(Benetton's Communication Research Centre) creating performance
software, DVDs, CDROMs,
soundtoys, a 4 month interactive exhibition called DARE
at AMMI (New York) and developing United
People (a video messaging system for Benetton stores).
In 2006 I also worked as a research assistant at the Bartlett School of Architecture in Stephen Gage's Interactive Architecture Unit 14.
Current work includes filmIt, a video community for the Helen Hamlyn Trust's Open Future program, a number of collaborative projects with the Sparks partnership.
My interests include developing playful experiences in variety of contexts,
particularly musical ones and the interplay between tools and toys.
